Focus on God....
God has been teaching me for a bit that I don't know everything, I don't know every "no" or "yes", I definitely don't know every "why" either. And I dunno if you've ever struggled with this particular truth, but if you're like me, I think I was under the illusion for probably all of my life up til now that I had a bit more control than I actually do.
Obviously, I "knew" God was in control but.....sometimes "knowing" something without experience isn't true or complete knowledge?
When God did not answer my prayer (and I had a ton of people praying) like I thought He would. I was kind of devastated. Honestly a little angry for a time too.
I was sooo wrapped up in the "why" and trying to figure out what I had done wrong....had I not prayed right? Enough? With enough faith? Wrong motives? Just been flippant and stupid about the situation? Basically me acting like I had EVER had any control over the situation in any way, shape or form.
I actually still have no clue of that "why". I may never know. But I don't think that's the point. The point is accepting God's will and trusting that He is righteous and just and good and if He does something, or allows something to happen then He must have a good reason. Focusing on the goodness of God and remembering all He has done. Asking for His peace and healing and help with accepting His answer. That, is a prayer He will answer.
God is still teaching me a good deal on this but what I do know is that He never changes, He loves me with a never ending love and He is close to and heals the broken hearted.
